Hi,

I am glad to see more people reusing this great resource set.

I am not very interested in using your API, in fact we already
implemented one in GCompris and it works fine for us.

What would be more interesting is to share and maintain an updated
version of these images, their translations and more important the voices.

I already spend a lot of time on this last year and with my wife we
re-recorded the french voices. Very important we added the article in
front of each word. It is very important in French because you need to
also teach the gender.

Also I don't see for example our banker_female image. We did some work
with the help of Isabelle to obtain more female workers. The original
set looks sexist. All our work is in the gnome git or for just the
voices on github here : https://github.com/bdoin/GCompris-voices

For information you probably also saw our online version of this
activity : http://gcompris.net/activity/lang/

So what is important now is is to get more recording contribution. To
this end I helped Frederico, a long standing Brasilian contributor, to
purchase a zoom recorder [1]. He just got it and is about to start the
recording soon.

On your side do you see opportunities to gather interest of voice
recorders all around the world?

Bruno.
