[gcompris-devel] Release 12.11PRE1

Hello,
 From the linux source tar, I did the following:

tar xvjf gcompris-12.11PRE1.tar.bz2
cd /home/denis/gcompris-12.11PRE1
./configure
make
cd src/gcompris
./gcompris

and I have the message:
"Failed to load the skin 
'/home/denis/gcompris-12.11PRE1/src/gcompris/share/gcompris/boards/skins/babytoy/skin.xml' 
(Check the file exists and is readable)"
in the main graphical window, and it does not go further.

I am not sure what to do, either rename my local ~/.config or MyGcompris 
directory or define some Environment variable ?
Or run make install ? but this may replace my other gcompris 
installation coming from my distribution.
