Hi,

I just released a new version that now runs directly in the language
of  the user, you can get it there:
http://gcompris.net/download/gcompris-12.06PRE3_intel.dmg

I have been reported of a startup crash on a MacBook Pro 8,1 with
Lion (10.7.3). If you are in a close configuration, please just drop
me a little mail to tell me that it works for you (or not).
