Sorry for my late answer, no offence, it happens sometimes that I forgot
to reply to mail, doing too many things at the same time.

Your patch does not work with the pycairo 1.4.12 that comes with Ubuntu
9.04.

This is also why I did not updated our goocanvas version.

BTW in 2 days Ubuntu 9.10 will be out and I will base GCompris on it
updating this code if needed. Maybe this will synchronize with your
release as well.
