The list is rather quiet these days but be assure that a lot of work is
being done on GCompris. As you know I am changing the internal drawing
library to use the goocanvas instead of the gnomecanvas. This brings a
lot of small but mandatory features to let us continue going forward
with GCompris on a more modern drawing API.

So far, I completed the port except for the anim activity that does
resist. I hope to complete it soon and release a beta version to have it
tester widely.

The bigger advantage of the goocanvas is to leverage the use of the SVG
vector format. Once the beta is out, I will request the help of your
graphism experience to replace our pixmaps by native SVG everywhere it's
possible. By the way, the goocanvas does anti aliasing by default and
even a scaled up GCompris with our current pixmaps doesn't look so bad.

So happy new year everybody and I hope we will be able soon to add
exiting new features for the children.
