You don't have to be necesarily very skilled a programmer to take part
in free software development.
For example, you can contribute through translation, art, documentation,
or by trying to build binaries for your specific Linux distro. Or simply
by using gcompris and filing relevant bug reports / enhancement requests
(without overworking the developers, of course ;-)) based on your
experience.
