libvorbis is the problem. Comment these lines from file
/usr/share/aclocal/vorbis.m4
   vorbis_analysis_init (&vd, &vi);
    vorbis_bitrate_addblock (&vb);

they cause a crash in vorbis. gcompris will run fine, it doesn't use
these functions. Compiles ok now?

I've spend severals hours yesterday trying to compile gcompris, found
this bug, a bug in tetex and a bug in gdm with locale :)
