Thanks for the link.
It should be compatible but when I request 'edit' more in gnuchess, it
says 'not implemented' :(

Anyway, the modifications are not huge, using your document and the
xboard -debug trace I have modified gcompris so that it works with
gnuchess 5.

It was too late to commit, I'll commit asap.

BTW, have you tested the new enumerate board ?
