[FreeNX-kNX] Re: freenx server + NoMachine client - black window after disk clone

OK - tried running startkde from the NX session this morning as suggested.
It looks like KDE does start to initialise - the splash screen comes up and the initialisation icons start to appear.

Before it gets very far, the connection suddenly terminates.

 

Yes - the windows machine connects to the original NX server with no problems.

 

Could there be a file dropping that still contains the original host name and/or IP address that does not get removed when NX is uninstalled?

I meant run startkde from the terminal within the NX session you started 
using custom in the general tab . . . . 

Does the windows machine connect to the NX server you cloned from 
with no problems ??
