Thanks. It worked. Or rather I have something more complex right now:
EXTERNAL_PROXY_IP=$(nslookup myip.mydomain.com | tail -n 2 | head -n 1 | sed "s/Address: //")
Amazing can't do this with free version from Nomachine!

Yeap!
Its a known bug. To workaround this you need to set EXTERNAL_PROXY_IP=your
FQDN in FreeNX's node.cfg.
i.e:
EXTERNAL_PROXY_IP=myip.mydomain.com
