hi,
  Today I reinstall freeNX, and the problem still exist.
I checked the options file when I both log in as a user and root, the options almost same.

In the root's options file:
keyboard=pc102/en_US,cache=64M,images=64M,link=adsl,nodelay=1,type=unix-kde,cleanup=0,accept=127.0.0.1,cookie=66b73616270cf72fad4a75d17ecb8c7d,id=newmdsserver-1007-B22D37C1454D475495F3EF2C248DAE44,samba=0,media=0,clipboard=both,menu=1:1007

in the user's options file:
keyboard=pc102/en_US,cache=64M,images=64M,link=adsl,nodelay=1,type=unix-kde,cleanup=0,accept=127.0.0.1,cookie=7bb48cb5abd4911f73daa7ee1c1fe26d,id=newmdsserver-1003-A1078E7CD8942FC8387E96565893DED8,samba=0,media=0,clipboard=both,menu=1:1003

I don't understand how to know "the server expects"?

on the same Windows XP client computer, the keyboard map correct if I log in as root, but could not get keyboard input if I use non-privilege user.

First thing is to make sure that your "user account" works, by logging in locally on the FreeNX server if you haven't already !!

Then

You must ensure that both ends are using the same strings to identify the keyboard and language.

The Nomachine nx client strings for keyboards are in ?:\Program Files\NX Client for Windows\share\keyboards

On the FreeNX server, if you log in as the user and also as root so you can check this out, the

        user's$HOME/.nx/C-users-session/options

file will tell you what the client is sending as the keyboard string, which must match what the server expects.

See

I don't like gnome either for this sort of thing. Try KDE and see if it works better.
