[FreeNX-kNX] Font issue when using ssh in NX session

Hi all,

I have a strange problem with fonts forwarded from X-clients to
NX-server. Let me first describe my setup: I have FreeNX server
running on the frontend node of a small cluster managed by Sun Grid
Engine. From there, users use SGE commands to open sessions on the
execution nodes which can work either by ssh or by telnet.

Strangely, I'm having a problem with ssh in that the fonts of X-client
applications running on the execution nodes are not appearing correctly
in the NX-session (on an NX-client remote to the NX-server) - characters
just appear as rectangular boxes. If I use telnet (remembering to allow
the NX-server to listen for tcp connections), and use standard
X-forwarding, then everything is fine. If I use ssh with X-forwarding
turned off (using the -x switch), and use standard X-forwarding instead,
the font problem reappears.

I do not get this problem on a local X-session on the frontend node (ie
logging in directly to that machine). Neither do I get the problem if I
use ssh from the command line to log into the frontend node, instead of NX.

Does anyone have any ideas on how I might proceed with debugging this?

Thanks,

Chris
