Hi,
my answer:
1) You fail to tell us whether or not the KDE you select using FreeNX
works
when you use it locally.
That would be a good start !!
[alei69] ==>
of course, KDE4 works perfectly, as well as Gnome, on my PC. Sorry, I
didn't mention it.
2) You might look to see how your version of mandriva starts KDE4.
If you have KDE3 and KDE4 on the machine ( all or in part !! ) then you
may well be a launching a different executable to the one you want to
launch.
/usr/bin/startkde runs what exactly.
That would be another good start !!!

I have only KDE4 on my machine.
In fact, Mandriva 2010 is shipped with KDE4, no more with KDE3.5.x
I have the same problem for all users.
Below you'll find 2 extracts of the file "session" in my ".nx"
directory:
The first part is the first lines of the file "session".
I did the test this afternoon, and I've downgraded my client to 3.3.0-6
without success.

I'm not able to decrypt these kind of messages.
If needed, I can send you files from my ".nx" directory.
Thanks for you help and hints.
