[FreeNX-kNX] What is the relationship between NXlibs and freeNX versions?

Hello all,

Although I've been using freeNX for sometime, but I'd like to
understand somethings a little better so I thought I'd ask on the list
;)

My distro is debian etch. (but I am prepared to install from the tarballs)
Recently I've used (now it doesn't seem to be there).
deb http://kern.nl/freenx ./

So until now I've always managed to install the .deb's and have never
had to think.
Now I'd like to give 0.7.1 a try. from http://freenx.berlios.de/

What is the relationship between NXlibs and freeNX versions?
