It's used in the Fedora RPMs to keep NX sessions behaving like local sessions 
started through xdm/gdm/whatever. dbus-launch is provided by package dbus-x11 
or was in FC5. See thread 'node.conf defaults?' from 24/08/2006 for more 
details. It was a pain to diagnose then too...
