hm, perhaps it has to do with PAM and su - used by NX.

No, me neither, but that means that it hangs _after_ nxnode was successfully run.

I must admit without direct access there is nothing I can do for that.

Its just too weird a problem.

PS: Might try to do: ENABLE_SU_AUTHENTICATION="0" and try to do the login via ssh instead.
