An idea would be to do:
/usr/sbin/nxsetup --install --setup-nomachine-key --clean --purge
nxsetup then tries to establish a connection to your server and also checks the configuration automatically.
If there something goes wrong, you'll have a much better chance to see what is going wrong.
Or perhaps it starts magically working again ;-)
