What do you mean a blank screen? I've sometimes gotten a black screen
with the !m logo and nothing more. Everything looks fine otherwise.
I've discovered that if I press alt+ctrl+t to shutdown the session,
then the desktop becomes visible and I can press cancel and everything
is fine. Maybe that's what you meant?
