This seems to be fixed in the newest maintenance release:

mainly provide fixes for the following problems:

*Unability to reconnect a session when trying to migrate from a  
display running the X.org 7.x server to a display running the X.org  
6.x or XFree86 server.

*Possible crash of Java applications when using JRE 1.6.0 running  
inside the NX session"
