i'd like to suggest another goal here - portability.
the original freenx implementation was mostly linux-centric. thankfully, due to
being written in bash and using mostly generic *nix tools, and me being a
sysadmin, i was able to fairly easily port to freebsd. i've seen solaris ports
as well, so obviously the original design wasn't exactly married to linux.
what worries me is the C code mentioned; if it happens to be linux-centric, i'll
be sunk. i've not really received much help with porting of the nxlibs C code to
freebsd, so i doubt i'll have much help with the freenx C code either.
having said that, i'm excited about where this appears to be going. kudos for
all your great work up to this point, and good luck in the future. i'll
certainly help however i am able, especially where it involves compatibility
with freebsd.
