Hello list,

I'm running several Windows Clients. Those start a NX session to my SuSE 10.1
FreeNX 0.7.1 Server, running Kontact in a floating window.

It works very fine. But a problem occurs when I quit kontact:
Kontact usually starts a sub-process (the event-reminder to notify about
upcoming events) which detaches from kontact. Now when a user quits Kontact,
the notification daemon doesn't quit. The NX session will not exit and it is
not possible to start Kontact again until i kill the still running processes
on the server (reminding nxagent processes).

Does anyone have an idea how i could solve this situation? I'm an experienced
linux user, I've tried several things (for example I tried to start a wrapper
for kontact instead of the application itself, which would kill all it's
sub-processes, but I had no luck).

Any idea?

Thanks in advance
Thomas

Hello list. What were your problems with the wrapper. I was running pidgin from a script a while back that would kill all pidgin processes before starting a new one. I didn't have any problems there.
