Thanks for your support! I was not aware that it was an SELinux problem.
Anyway I ran following command and everything was fine:

chcon -t textrel_shlib_t /usr/lib/nx/libXcomp.so.2

(adapted from
http://www.redhat.com/archives/fedora-selinux-list/2006-April/msg00139.html
and the link therein)
and that was it!

Now I only get some warning messages:
The panel encountered a problem while loading "OAFIID:GENOME_ClockApplet"
The panel encountered a problem while loading
"OAFIID:GENOME_MultiLoadApplet"
The panel encountered a problem while loading
"OAFIID:GENOME_WindowListApplet"
The panel encountered a problem while loading
"OAFIID:GENOME_WorkSpaceSwitcherApplet"

Hm I googled and found similar questions but no response so far. Perhaps
I am just not good enough to google for the right phrases .... Anyway it
seems that these Applets are not so important ;-)

Thanks again for you great support and product !!!
Cheers
Thomas
