I have downloaded and installed !M "NX Free" v.2.1.0 rpms on openSUSE 10.1.
This includes nxnode og nxserver og nxmanager from NoMachine
http://www.nomachine.com/download.php
I've also been able to test the NX client for both Linux and Windows on
!M's testdrive on Internet:
http://www.nomachine.com/testdrive.php
But I really need some "hands-on commands" to setup or configure the NX
server on my Linux workstation. For the FreeNX I've seen some quickstart
guides for simple configurations. But the NX split into nxserver and
nxnode rather confuse me, as does a look into the NX-server admin.guide,
which wasn't of much help for me as a startup guide at this stage:

HO <--> SO WAN:
I think I have a real simple and usual hardware configuration:
a Linux workstation on my office network which is meant to run the NX server
a couple of networked Windows PCs on my ofice running NX clients
a separate Internet router with firewall where port 22/ssh is forwarded
to the Linux workstation
a homePC dualboot Linux/Windows running NX clients, connected to
Internet with a vanilla ADSL router
In the first phase I wish to connect from my homePC with NX client to
the office Linux workstation/NXserver (ssh connection is already
prepared and does work this way).
In the second phase I wish to connect the opposite way from my office
Linux workstation to my homePC running Linux/NXserver.
Need the startup commands to get the connections up and run ;)
Rgds,
Terje
