[FreeNX-kNX] Up-to-date Debian packages or howto?

Hello

I'd like to update my version of Freenx (Currently using the version from
Knoppix 4.0.2 CD). Does anyone know of any up-to-date Debian repositories?
The Ubuntu ones do not work for me (either apt-get update times out, or the
version is older than what I currently have).

Has anyone tried using Alien to convert Rick Stout's RPMs into DEBs?

Or lastly, is there an up-to-date howto out there? I have looked, but can't
seem to find anything up-to-date/complete. I've never applied a patch in my
life (well perhaps I did once to kernel sources about 3 years ago when I
wanted to build my own kernel), but am not afraid of the command line. If I
understand correctly, basically I have to get the NX sources, patch these,
copy some keys/fix some permissions, install any missing libs, insall latest
freenx snapshot. Is this right? Any comprehensive instructions hiding out
there?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Chris
