Just a clarification; the nxclient script that FreeNX provides also gives this 
functionality, it's just not that "pretty" as the NoMachine NXClient (the 
FreeNX nxclient just uses xmsg).

Did that myself in the beginning, but the nxclient (either will do the job) is 
actually used by the server. :)
