[FreeNX-kNX] NX Version Questions

AFAIK the current fedora RPMs use the 2.1 NX libraries. I don't know if Rick
had to change anything in order to use them, and I don't know what's used in
other distros.

The nomachine nxclient isn't strictly required on the server. noachine use it
to provide certian dialog boxes for the server. FreeNX has a script called
nxclient which isn't really a client, but acts to provide the dialog boxes
required on the server end. It will delegate to the nomachine nxclient if
it's installed though. The nomachine v1.5 client generally gives prettier
boxes than the FreeNX script. I've not tried it with v2.x yet.

Printing will probably require some post-install modifications which have been
described on the list, but AFAIK haven't been incorporated in the current
version yet. In particular if you're using CUPS 1.2 you will need to have a
look for Marcel's recent posts on getting that going.
