I am using nxclient for windows 2.1.09 on an XP box to
connect through a VPN link with aggressive firewall to
a linux suse 10.0 box running a mildly patched freenx
server 1.4.0-44
I am connecting via the NX proxy to VNC server
running on port 5902 of the same box.
from within this proxied VNC session I then run the
following command
vncviewer -depth 8 -encodings "tight copyrect hextile
zlib corre rre" -bgr233 -compresslevel 9 -quality 0
localhost:5
localhost port 5905 has been tunneled to an XP box on
the same internal network via putty with the following
command
plink -pw password -R 5905:XPBOX:5900 -l username
LINUXBOX
I know its a little weird but its the only way I can
get remote access to my XP box at work.
This works very quickly for about 3 minutes. Then
suddenly the response slows to a crawl.
The only logged error I can find is in the nxserver
error file which says
Warning: Loop no more child processes
