Is your FreeNX server running on a windows box? The plugin components go on the
server. The client.zip for each target platform is downloaded & extracted by
the javascript in the nxapplet.html (and yes it isn't a standard zip file).

Maybe you could try re-reading the documentation and look at the code in the
nxapplet.html.

I have Win98, XP, Suse, Thinstation & Debian clients all connecting nicely to my
Suse 10 FreeNX server via nxplugin (although I can have some video problems with
the Win98 boxes).
