The session will do a clean shutdown and a line will be printed on
the server side session log. Basically it will work as the same
function is working in Windows Terminal Server.

The purpose of an inactivity timeout is to free the server resources
if the user is not actively using the session, so this is inherently
a server side function. Even if it was possible to interact with the
user to get a confirmation, IMHO, such confirmation wouldn't make
sense.
