[FreeNX-kNX] Applications in suspended sessions aren't responding

Hello,
I want to use freenx as VNC replacement (because it's slow),
but the problem is that applications aren't updated when sessions are
suspended. In VNC everything works like when the screen is attached.
So for example an IRC client will timeout when you don't have the display
attached.
Is there allready a solution for this?
The "quick" (don't know how complex this would be in the end) seems to
be to run a xserver (for example vncserver) and resume to this while the
NX session isn't used.
But I don't think that is a good solution.
Is there a real possibility in sight or even allready possible and I was
just unable to find it?
Regards
