The mozilla plugin works fine in Firefox. I may look into creating a
firefox extension in the future.

Well, the good news is, I looked at your config file and your log and
everything looks great! It should be working fine!

I will look into it tonight.

I am not sure if this is what you are looking for, but I think a lot of
users use distributions specifically designed for thin clients or
kiosks to set up limited access for the users. Check the mailing
list. For example: http://mail.kde.org/pipermail/freenx-knx/2005-
June/001306.html

Tham you for your support!
I have currently installed the mozilla plugin. (Are you going to create
a Firefox version?). It now suffers from the same as nxrun: It seems to
start (I get some text in my screen after clicking the link to my
configfile), but that's it.

The configuration file is one created with the nomachine client, which
uses it flawlessly. I also just use the nomachine ssh key.

You can find the configfile at http://kaarsemaker.net/~dennis/VSL.conf
and the output at http://kaarsemaker.net/~dennis/nxrun-out

There are no sessions left running at the server after this.

Having this workens answers my single-binary question, the answer to the
virtual-user question is 'no' as I found out from the NX documentation,
but I have not yet found an easy way to restrict the commands an NX
client can start. Do you happen to know an answer here?
