Could you try downgrading to 1.4.0 instead, at least untill you get freenx

1.4.0 is compability stuff with nomachine, -04 mean that you have a 0.4.x 
version. -CVS (should) mean that you downloaded a snapshot from CVS, but as 
Fabian forgot to remove if from the 0.4.1 release, you most likely have 0.4.1

This most likely mean that you have a 1.5.0 backend on your server (depending on 
distro). If so it is NOT supported by freenx 0.4.x, and you MUST downgrade to 
1.4.0 (or do extensively hacking in freenx, or live with a verry buggy freenx 
untill 0.5.0 is released, wich might take some time...).
RPM (for readhat etc) is at:

but your distros packageing system should be able to give you the correct version.
Your distro and packaging system would help in determining what to do here.
