Hallo,

thanks for your reply.

I try to access my nxserver instance. The client (newest version)
fails with:

NXPROXY - Version 1.4.0

Copyright (C) 2001, 2004 NoMachine.
See http://www.nomachine.com/ for more information.

Info: Proxy running in client mode with pid '2452'.

Info: Accepted connection from '127.0.0.1' on port '2361'.
Info: Connection with remote proxy established.
Info: Handshaking with remote proxy ':5001' completed.
Info: Synchronizing local and remote caches.
Info: Not using NX delta compression.
Info: Using lan link parameters 16384/80/16/8192.
Info: Using pack method 'no-pack' with session 'unix-application'.
Info: Not using ZLIB stream compression.
Info: Not using remote ZLIB stream compression.
Info: Not using persistent cache.
Info: Using remote server connected on port '2283'.
Info: Starting X protocol compression.
Info: Established X server connection.
Warning: Not using shared memory support in X server.
Info: End of session requested by remote proxy.
Info: Shutting down the link and exiting.

The server log says:

servki:/tmp# tail -f nxserver.log
NX> 704 Session cache: unix-application
NX> 707 SSL tunneling: 1
NX> 710 Session status: running
NX> 1002 Commit
NX> 1006 Session status: running
NX> 105 bye
Bye
NX> 999 Bye
NX> 1006 Session status: closed
NX> 1001 Bye.

This was with the client option:

Unix session
Enable SSL encryption for all traffic

Run the following command:
/usr/bin/X11/xterm

I tried the other sessions, too.

Using the cygwin xfree client and ssh -X to connect to the server works
fine,
but it is slow and hard to install.

Any idea what I can try next to get nxserver going?

Regards:

Uwe Fechner
