[FreeNX-kNX] NX.usermode Error: nxproxy

Hello list,

I am interested in using FreeNX as a non-root user as described in
<http://openfacts.berlios.de/index-en.phtml?title=FreeNX_Howto>

I followed the directions to install NX 1.4.0 from source and FreeNX
0.4.4, also modifying FreeNX scripts (nxssh) as the instructions state.

Are the "NX.usermode" instructions no longer useful?  OR is it still
possible to get them to work...

I am able to connect and authenticate to the remote host, however I get
the following error:

Info: Proxy running in client mode with pid '5385'.
Error: Failed to resolve address of 'user at host'.
Error: Unknown remote host 'user at host'.

Is this a problem with FreeNX scripts?  How do I fix it?  The HOWTO
states that I should enter user at host for Hostname when Configuring.  But
perhaps this is wrong or FreeNX needs to be patched.

Please let me know if I must provide more info.  I tried searching this
list via google but did not find this error.  Thank you.

NX 1.4.0 installed from source
FreeNX 0.4.4 with modifications from HOWTO

Client:
Debian GNU/Linux sarge
NX-Client 1.4.0-91  (Static bin)
