[FreeNX-kNX] Reduce nx/vnc bandwidth or other Screenshare method?

Hi,

now that my nx/vnc works I have throttled the local 100Mbit connection
to ISDN speed using a tc wrapper <http://lartc.org/wondershaper/> and
setting DOWN/UPLINK to 53 kbits.

At that speed an nx connection is still wonderfully useable, yet a
vnc+nx connection to an an already running X session is not noticeably
better than a plain vnc one.

One thing to improve this might be a colourreduction in vnc (as KDEs
krdc is able to, vncviewer -LowColourLevel 0 somehow doesnt work) yet
the nxclient doesnt seem to have this feature and I couldn't find an
appropriate config option in the node.conf (via AGENT_EXTRA_OPTIONS*
maybe?).

Apart from the vnc+nx way are there other possibilities to share a
screen including mouse/keyboard in a low bandwidth environment? If
nxclient itself could connect to the same virtual KDE session twice then
I could start this kind of setup on top of a plain X everytime remote
help is required.

Regards
