[FreeNX-kNX] Loop: PANIC! Can't identify NX port in string ':'. was FreeNX 0.3.1 from Fedora rpms

Hi

I changed the title of this thread because it seemed that the new title 
was a bit more descriptive of the problem.

I did a bit more digging on this problem and wondered whether the extra 
debug info might help someone to suggest whats wrong with my 0.3.1 
FreeNX server setup. Its frustrating because the 0.2.8 server works so well!

Client: NoMachine nxclient-1.4.0-91 running on Fedora Core 2

Working server: FreeNX 0.2.8 from Rick Stout's RPMS on Fedora Core 2

Not Working server: FreeNX 0.3.1 from Rick Stout's RPMS on Fedora Core 2

Session authenticates ok. Then waits for about 10 sec before popping up 
a box with "session blah failed".

Clicking the detail button gives:
Loop: PANIC! Can't identify NX port in string ':'.
Error: Can't identify NX port in string ':'.
Error: NX transport initialization failed.

On the client in  .nx/temp/8849/runlog I have:
