This looks rather scary to you, an alternative may be to use
the SUSE "knx" package which is unofficially (and unsupported)
available here:

nxcomp isnt the only package you need. Are you trying to compile this
in isolation? Or is it the one package that freaks out from the
complete NX/GPL bundle you are trying to build?
Which OS, which version are you using again?
