Hmm, could you point me at specific entries? I've looked through and
while there are references (like "Removed code used for simulating the
new forwarding functionality without client and server support.") I'm
not able to find the information I'm looking for in any of the entries.

So the plan (or already the case) is to have everything able to
communicate over a single TCP connection? Would it be reasonable
(assuming it's not already done) to merge support for NX over 8bit-clean
stdin/stdout into nxcomp, were I to spend the time implementing it? Do
you foresee a problem implementing this? Such a capability would
certainly make my life a lot easier, and offer me a lot more flexibility
in how I use nxcomp.
