It is xmessage, which is ugly! ;-)

Why xmessage? Available on every standard distribution, no dependencies except 
Xlib, which is a dependency anyway.

Yeah:

Two choices:

- - Install nxclient from nomachine.com and put /usr/NX/bin/ in fron of you 
path. Voila, you have the nice QT-nxclient dialog interface.

- - Write another frontend in /usr/bin/nxclient

I have started a Xdialog frontend, but could not finish it, but you should get 
the general idea by looking at the xmessage functions.

I'll gladly accept a patch for nxclient to support more than one dialog 
interface. You could also write a small QT-Wrapper or something like that. 

You could even use kommander to create it as a RAD.

Just be aware that the more dependencies you have the less people will be able 
to use your frontend.
