[FreeNX-kNX] Session type Custom (working) vs. KDE (not working)

Hi,

I have a strange problem. I use the freenx server debs from kalyxo.org and the nxclient
from nomachine.com. My KDE is in /usr/local/kde, whose bindir is added to my
PATH in /etc/profile. 

If I use session-type Custom everything works fine. "run the following
command" is set to startkde. The checkbox "New virtual desktop" is
set. 
If I set the session-type to KDE nxclient reaches "Authentication
completed" for about 20 seconds and then times out. "Detail" says:
