Hello Kizito,

I mostly do programming, so I will try to answer from my observations.

The code changed a lot during this time, I recommend trying to find a way
to sync it (the translation files) with latest code. I would contact
someone who works with translations for more information.

to Falkon (still based on Qt).
Have I missed something?
Look of a GUI application can be deceiving since many desktop
environments tweak toolkits to look the same / similar to their style.

I do not know what are the "*.pot" files for. What I do know is that
Falkon translations are handled by KDE translation team and then synced
into the git repository (the *.po files). So you NEED to go through KDE
translation stuff to get your translations into Falkon.

To be honest, translations are mostly independend from writing code, so
I know only a very little about the process. I can only point you to the
wiki pages:

https://community.kde.org/Get_Involved/translation
https://l10n.kde.org/

I also recommend you to get in contact with other translators at KDE (or
the team) and discuss it with them.

PS: While the translations are synced with the git repository, do not
send Merge Requests there, they will be rejected. You need to go through
the KDE translation stuff.
