KDE 4.1 Included in FreeBSD Ports Tree
======================================

   KDE 4 is now also available for FreeBSD starting with the marvelous
KDE 4.1. The original commit from the FreeBSD/KDE team says 'The KDE
FreeBSD team is proud to announce the release of KDE 4.1.0 for FreeBSD'.
 KDE 4 will be installed into a custom prefix ${LOCALBASE}/kde4 so KDE 4
and KDE 3 can co-exist. For sound to work, it is necessary to have dbus
and hal enabled in your system. Please see the respective documentation
on how to enable these. For more Information see the HEADS UP at ports@
and kde-freebsd@ or our wiki page
[http://wiki.freebsd.org/KDE4/Install].  See the Commit message
[http://www.freshports.org/commit.php?category=x11&port=kde4&files=yes&message_id=200808091652.m79GqSOg017641@repoman.freebsd.org]
and port info [http://www.freshports.org/x11/kde4/]. Have fun!
