Jonatan Riddle Vetoes KDE 4 April Fool's Prank
==============================================
Jon Ridler long time KDE contributor and KDE Dot News editor has put
his foot down and vetoed the awesome KDE 4 April Fool's prank we had
prepared for you guys. The article was submitted to a secret internal
dot list and met immediate approval from other dot editors. The article
was described as good-natured and obviously intended to be an April
Fool's by the submitter.
Unfortunately, John found fit to leak the confidential article to
IRC and found that the humour-impaired KDE developers did not find the
article funny since it might actually be true. With the help of
billionaire Mark Shuttlemoon of Kubuntoo [http://www.kubuntu.org/], J.R.
of Dallas exercised his veto option and blocked the article from
appearing on the dot.
In an attempt to capitalise on this unfortunate incident, Uwe Theme
responded by writing a lame April Fool's joke of his own
[http://www.linux.org.na/index.php/topic,38.msg84.html#msg84] about KDE
e.V. supposedly sending a cease and desist letter to Microsoft. The
article is clearly an attempt to publicise the heretofore unknown
Linucks North Afrikan [http://www.linux.org.na/] website.
Community reaction to this very article has been swift, calling it
the "stupidest article to ever appear on KDE Dot News". And others
commenting that KDE Dot News is a proffessionnal news organziation for
KDE and should not be printing garbage like this. Nobody will ever take
KDE serious ever again, so we should all switch to that desktop with teh
smelly foot.
Please understand, I am risking everything to tell you guys about
the awesome KDE 4 April Fool's article that I cannot tell you about.
This very article was slipped through the cracks of the KDE Dot News
moderation system and self-approved anonymous. I might be fired from
the e.V. [http://ev.kde.org/] for this. You don't know how scary it is
to face the e.V. board members.
