   In this week's KDE Commit-Digest

improvement in the font installation KControl module. Support for

Okular [http://okular.org/]. New Interface ideas and consistency work in
Amarok [http://amarok.kde.org/]. KTabEdit
[http://ktabedit.sourceforge.net/] gets better support for the 'Guitar
Pro' file format. Iceland map added to KGeography
[http://edu.kde.org/kvoctrain/]. Work starts on a new keyboard rendering
engine in KTouch [http://edu.kde.org/ktouch/], and on a model/view
interface implementation for KVocTrain [http://edu.kde.org/kvoctrain/].
Early work on a Phonon [http://phonon.kde.org/] backend for KsCD. Speed
optimisations in Strigi [http://www.vandenoever.info/software/strigi/],
with experimental probing for the feasibility of leveraging the inotify
[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inotify] daemon. Experimental code sees
Akonadi [http://pim.kde.org/akonadi/] become searchable through Strigi.
Kross [http://kross.dipe.org/readme.html], the multi-language
application scripting framework, loses its dependency on KOffice
[http://koffice.org/] and moves into kdelibs as the cornerstone of
scripting in KDE 4.
