Quanta+ Sponsor Asks for Assistance
====================================
from the I-didn't-know-they-allowed-negative-numbers-in-the-checkbook
dept.
For the past year and a half, I've been a co-sponsor of the KDE
Quanta+ project [http://quanta.sf.net/] helping Eric, Andras and the
entire Quanta+ team deliver one of the best web development applications
in the world -- Free or otherwise. It has been my pleasure and an honor
to be part of bringing Quanta+ to you.
My wife and I are currently in the process of adopting two
beautiful children from Haiti. Sadly, one of the drawbacks to
international adoption is that it is very expensive. These expenses have
now come to the point where I will be unable to continue my sponsorship
of Quanta+ after this month. If the adoptions do come through this year,
I am hopeful I'll be able to resume my sponsorship in April after taking
advantage of the generous tax credits available to successful adoptive
parents.
Previously, I was contributing 100 US dollars a month to the
Quanta+ project. My goal in this community appeal is to cover my
contributions for the months of November through March -- a total of
$500. Of course, it would also be nice to blow this goal out of the
water and raise considerably more. :)
Please help me continue my assistance to the Quanta+ project "in
proxy" for the next few months. Remember, the Quanta+ sponsors help pay
the salary of two programmers who in turn bring you some of the best
software around -- all under Free software licenses. If you can help,
please visit the Quanta+ donation page
[http://quanta.sourceforge.net/main1.php?actfile=donate]. Thanks in
advance to everyone for their support!
