Celebrating Eight Years of KDE

   Almost unnoticed, our favorite Desktop Environment
[http://www.kde.org/] has turned eight. This posting
[http://www.kde.org/announcements/announcement.php] by a young and
daring student called Matthias Ettrich
[http://people.kde.org/matthias.html] started it all. Since then, KDE
has come a long way. It did not only evolve technically, but also has
one of the greatest  communities [http://www.kde.org/people/credits/],
where people [http://people.kde.org/] are not only terribly productive
but also friends. Thanks to all contributors and happy birthday KDE!
