Quickies: KDE Banner, AVM Software, KuickShow
=============================================

In his blog [http://www.kdedevelopers.org/node/view/307] over at the
KDE Developer Journals [http://www.kdedevelopers.org/blog], Ian Reinhart
Geiser [geiseri at kde.org] reveals the new KDE banner
[http://www.kdedevelopers.org/node/view/306] to be used at the
LinuxWorld Conference & Expo [http://www.linuxworldexpo.com/] this year.
The recently launched KDE-Apps.org [http://www.kde-apps.org/] has been
seeing a flurry of activity from the community, including a nice
submission of 2 new GPL applications: K ISDN Watch
[http://www.kde-apps.org/content/show.php?content=10094] and K ADSL
Watch [http://www.kde-apps.org/content/show.php?content=10093] by AVM
[http://www.avm.de/en/], a manufacturer of PC ISDN-Controllers and ISDN
application software. It's very nice to see KDE support from a hardware
vendor -- some of you might also be interested to know that ATI
Technologies Inc [http://www.ati.com/] also provides a relatively
KDE-friendly Qt3 configuration application
[http://static.kdenews.org/content/misc/ati-info-panel.png] with their
proprietary Linux driver
[http://www.ati.com/support/drivers/linux/radeon-linux.html] for
XFree86. Finally, a note that KuickShow
[http://kuickshow.sourceforge.net/] is the current App of the Month
[http://www.kde.de/appmonth/2004/kuickshow/beschreibung.php] (de) for
January 2004 at KDE.de [http://www.kde.de/index-script.php]. Like always
this is accompanied with a nice interview
[http://www.kde.de/appmonth/2004/kuickshow/interview.php] (de) and some
[http://www.kde.de/appmonth/2004/kuickshow/shot04.png] screenshots.
