Some time ago on kde-www
[http://lists.kde.org/?l=kde-www&m=107970958913194&w=2] there was a
request for volunteers to help with the amaroK website
[http://amarok.sourceforge.net/]. The amaroK team is considering to
switch to a CMS based site so that they get more organized with their
content. When talking of websites, it looks like the website about
those people behind KDE [http://www.kde.nl/people/] is also offering a
newspage [http://www.kde.nl/people/news.html] these days. Are you a Qt
programmer and looking for job? Well, it seems that Skype
[http://skype.com/home.html], wants to build their P2P telephony program
for the Linux desktop when you look at their job openings
[http://skype.com/jobs.htmll#tallinn]. We have some more Qt news.
Trolltech [http://www.trolltech.com/] announced
[http://www.trolltech.com/newsroom/announcements/00000163.html] a new
version of its C++ multiplatform toolkit Qt 3.2.2 which is a bugfix
release [http://www.trolltech.com/developer/changes/changes-3.3.2.html].
No programmer yourself but you want specific improvements in KDE? I
came across this nice idea
[http://www.kontact.org/shopping/sanders.php]. Here you can demand
improvements specifically for KMail with an amount of money you would
like to pledge for it. It seems like there are some recent pledges as
well. Jono Bacon [http://people.kde.org/jono.html], a writer,
consultant, web developer and musician, has written an entry in his
blog [http://www.oreillynet.com/pub/wlg/4750] that discusses the
direction of software projects, with a particular reference to KDE. He
is interested to hear any thoughts on these suggestions.
