Hi,
We've been patching Qt quite heavily to make the upcoming Krita 4.2 work with Qt 5.12. The full list of patches is here:
https://phabricator.kde.org/T10838
However, for linux distributions, only the patches marked DISTRIBUTIONS are relevant. Without those patches, things will be quite broken. These are:
* Fix notification of QDockWidget when it gets undocked https://codereview.qt-project.org/#/c/252182/
* Synthesize Enter/LeaveEvent for accepted QTabletEvent https://codereview.qt-project.org/#/c/255384/
* Fix tablet jitter on X11 https://codereview.qt-project.org/#/c/255382/
* Add an ID for recognition of UGEE tablets https://codereview.qt-project.org/#/c/255383/
Also note that if you update Qt to 5.11.2 or later, you should use Krita 4.1.8 and rebuild Krita: do not let people run a version of Krita built against 5.11.1 or earlier with a later version of Qt. Instant crashes are the result of https://bugreports.qt.io/browse/QTBUG-72488 if not worked around in Krita.
Thanks,
Boudewijn
