Can not add missing height info in the Geo-Loc tool

Is this a known bug? If i want to add height info to images in the
geo-location tool using right-mousclick, add missing height info' (or
alike, i'm in a german version), nothing happens. There are now error
messages if i start from terminal. Thje images are jgs and have been
manually geo-tagged via OSM in the geo-loc. tool.

This is for the latest appimage and the last stable on Manjaro Linux.
